Ignite Your Summer Photography Contest (Grades 8 - 12)
Weekly JULY 6 - AUG 24
Each week, teen photographers submit a photo (or photos) by following that week's theme. Enter to win a weekly prize pack. All submitted photos are entered into the end-of-summer grand prize draw. Follow SPL’s teen Instagram @SPL.Ignite to compete.
Spider-Man Escape Room
JULY 8, 9 & 10 | 2:15 - 8:00 PM | Quiet Room
In this 30-minute escape adventure, groups of five will work together, solve clues, and stop the Spider-Man villains. Registration required.
The Great Hobbit Adventure
JULY 20 - AUG 9 | Downtown Stratford
Help Gandalf the Grey SAVE STRATFORD from the orcs and goblins of Middle Earth. Complete 5 weekly challenges over 3 weeks at spots around Stratford (marked with a The Great Hobbit Adventure sign). Start each week with the “clue video” posted on the event page. PRIZES: 3 big prize packs for 3 age groups (aged 0-8, 9-18, 19+). Complete all 15 challenges = receive a Hobbiton Haul. Explore the event page and don't forget to fill in the form in order to be eligible for prizes.
Summer Swiftie Party
JULY 29 | 6:30 - 8:00 PM | SPL + YMCA + Downtown
Enjoy Taylor Swift games, an outdoor dance party, crafts, trivia, and so much more at both the Stratford Public Library and the YMCA. You don't even have to stop the fun when walking between the party sites since you can play our downtown Swiftie Scavenger Hunt for a chance at a prize at the end of the night. All ages but crafts/games ages 7+.
Teen Maker Marketplace Vendor Show

Support young people making beautiful things! Purchase handmade items from small artist and craft businesses run by teens.
Tarot 101
AUG 13 | 7:30 - 8:30 PM | Auditorium
Let's demystify tarot! Learn about the history of tarot, basic tarot theory, and use tarot for self-reflection and personal growth. This program is for those aged 13+.

Turn reading into a gift with our book subscription kits for teens. Sign up each month for three books in the genre of your choice, goodies (candy, buttons, stickers), a craft or activity. Return the books but keep the goodies. Registration required.
Tween Lit Kits (Grades 4 - 7)

OTHER EVENTS - ALL AGES
Chess Knight at SPL (All Ages - on-going)
MONDAYS | 6:30 - 8:30 PM
Drop-in and gather on the main floor of the library, where all ages come together to enjoy a chill night of playing chess and drinking tea. BYOBoard if you have one -- if you don't, come anyway. (Youth under 12 must be accompanied by adult.)
