BiblioMake

BiblioMake is Stratford's "Socratica node" -- a creative coworking community. Join our open collective of makers, artists, engineers, designers, writers, poets, and everything in-between. We're coming together to work on our passion projects -- for the love of making -- and you're invited.

LEGO Mosaic (ages *6+)

BUILD: AUG 1 - 30 | Main & Lower Floor (DISPLAY: Main Floor)

Help us build a large-scale LEGO mosaic one tile at a time. Visitors can complete a small pre-designed LEGO tile that will become part of a collaborative community artwork. Each tile contributes to the final image, which will be displayed on the main floor as it slowly builds, then for the following week. 

Multiverse (ages *6+)

AUG 24 - SEPT 3 | Various Dates/Times -- see main event page | Auditorium

Drop in to help build an interactive, large-scale model of our local landscape/cityscape. Using recycled materials, LEGO, robotics, and digital tools, this hands-on experience encourages creativity, sustainability, and STEAM learning while inspiring participants to envision and shape our community's future together. 

3D Design (ages 12+)

SEPT 22, OCT 20, NOV 17, DEC 15 | 6:30 - 8:00 PM | MakerSpace

Interested in 3d printing? Join us for hands-on sessions, where you’ll learn the basics of 3D Design and Printing. Drop-In (6 people room capacity.)

Dungeons & Dragons Night (ages *9+) 

SEPT 22, OCT 20, NOV 17, DEC 15 | 6:00 - 8:00 PM | Auditorium

Our monthly D&D Night is the perfect place to start your quest -- for beginners to experienced adventurer! Join us on (usually) the 3rd Tuesday of the month in the Library Auditorium for an evening of creativity, strategy, and fun in a friendly and structured environment. All ages (9+) and all skills welcome.

BattleBots (ages *9+)

Join the BattleBot team and learn to design and create robots to compete in a challenge of epic proportions! No experience is necessary but be prepared for a deep dive into 3D CAD. 

POP UP MakerSpace (ages *7+)

Not quite old enough to use the MakerSpace or just looking for something awesome to do? Explore programming, robotics, 3d printing, or vinyl cutting as well as tons of other STEAM and maker activities.

Canva for Small Business: Workshop Series (ages 18+) 

NOV 13, 20, DEC 4 | 9:00 - 10:30 AM | Auditorium

Are you an entrepreneur, small business owner, or community organization looking to create polished print and digital materials? Using Canva Pro, you'll learn to create posters, flyers, newsletters, brochures, and others professional looking materials for your business, organization, or creative project. (Registration required -- opens SEPT 1)

MakerSpace 9th Birthday Party (all ages - geared to ages 7+) 

NOV 14 | 1:00 - 4:00 PM | Auditorium

We're turning NINE YEARS OLD -- and finally old enough to attend Open Labs. Come out and help us celebrate at the MakerSpace birthday party. (Open Labs closed for the day, but MakerSpace open for event.)

3D Block Printing: Make the Holidays (ages 12+) 

NOV 24 & DEC 1 | 6:30 - 8:00 PM | Auditorium

As part of our Make the Holidays series, create a custom 3d printed stamp block that can be used on fabric or custom wrapping paper. Join us for this stamping fun time over two weeks. (Registration required -- opens OCT 26)
