The Poetry Labyrinth: A Walking Meditation in Words

Step quietly into the library and into yourself.

For this special event, join labyrinth facilitator Melanie Kindrachuk in the library auditorium where a simple labyrinth will be created. Participants will begin their contemplative walking path by receiving a short poem at the entrance, a companion for the inward walk. This opening poem invites reflection, grounding, and gentle attention to breath and step.

As you follow the winding path, the library transforms into a space of stillness. There is no rush, only the quiet rhythm of movement and the soft turning of thought. At the centre, pause. You will receive a second poem, one that speaks to return, integration, and carrying insight back into the world. The return path becomes a re-entry, a reminder that reflection continues into daily life.

This lived poem is open to all ages and abilities. The Poetry Labyrinth offers a rare opportunity to slow down within a public space, to experience poetry as words on a page, and also as a physical, mindful journey.

This event is free but spaces are limited so please book a spot online.
