ELEVATOR UNDER CONSTRUCTION

When
to
Location
Stratford Public Library

We’re thrilled to share that our elevator is getting a much‑anticipated upgrade beginning Monday, April 13th. The project is expected to take 6–8 weeks, and once complete, we’ll be ready to welcome you with a fully modernized elevator—just in time for our summer programming!

Access During Renovations

While the elevator is out of service, the library will remain open and accessible:

  • Main Floor Access: Please use the accessibility ramp leading to our emergency exit door off the back parking lot. Clear signage and friendly staff will be available to guide you.
  • Third Floor Access: During the renovation, the third floor will be accessible by stairs only.
  • Picking Up Holds: Prefer not to use the ramp? No problem—our team will happily retrieve your holds from the main floor. Just visit at the lower level circulation desk.

Entrance Updates

  • The St. Andrew Street entrance will be closed during construction.
  • Please use the front entrance or the back parking lot entrance.
  • For accessible entry, use the back parking lot entrance or follow the signs to the back parking lot ramp to access the main floor.

If you have questions or need assistance at any time, we’re here to help!
Please contact us at 519‑271‑0110 ext. 102 or askspl@splibrary.ca.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we make the library even more welcoming and accessible for everyone!
