We're joining the celebration this year as an official opening viewing site!! Bring your enthusiasm as we cheer on our Canadian Teams at the Winter Olympics & Paralympics -- starting with the Opening Ceremonies.
XXV Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 OPENING CEREMONIES
Join us as we watch the Opening Ceremonies of the Winter Olympics in the Auditorium at 1:30 PM. The Auditorium will open 15 minutes before it begins.
Due to a scheduling conflict, we won't be able to show the Opening Ceremonies for the Paralympics in the Auditorium, but will instead have it displayed on our screen on the main floor.
We've created some fun around the library as well, to get you into the spirit.
THE WINTER OLYMPICS POLAR BEAR LIBRARY HUNT
Tiny polar bears have been hidden around the main floor of the library. Find up to five polar bears and return them to the desk to get up to five ballots in the prize draw. We will be drawing three ages groups for prizes: Kids (ages 0-8), Teens (ages 9-17), Adults (ages 18+). MORE HERE
