Back by popular demand: an old favourite with some new locations!

Exploring Stratford is a free, drop-in community program for all ages that gives participants the chance to discover the people, places and services that make Stratford a vibrant and fascinating city. Each week, the group meets at a different Stratford location to get behind-the-scenes access, meet the professionals who keep the city running, and learn about the vital roles they play in our community. It's a fun and educational way to explore Stratford together, one stop at a time!

Join our Summer Program Coordinators, Kamden and Owen, each week to discover some awesome places together.

T.J. Dolan Trail (July 4): Join Owen and Kamden at TJ Dolan Trail (Old Grove by John Street parking lot) to discover, explore, create and play! Explorers of all ages will enjoy the many hidden activities to engage with along the path.   Sensory I Spy!  Nature creations!  Discover creative and interesting ways to view nature.  Learn about all the hidden mysteries of TJ Dolan Trail.   Join us at the John Street entrance anytime between 10 am and 11:30 to embark upon a wonderful adventure.  See you then!

Stratford Perth Museum (July 11): Participants will have a chance to explore the awesome Stratford Perth Museum. Admission to the Museum is free for Exploring Stratford participants. After the museum tour, be sure to check out Your House Is Not Just a House by Idris Goodwin on the Story Trail.  This will be a great chance to explore the book before Idris Goodwin’s visit to the Museum on July 19th for the Tales & Trails Celebration Mashup with Stratford Summer Music’s Carnival of Animals (including petting zoo!) from 10: 00 to 12:00 PM.

Police/Fire/EMS (July 18): We'll visit with police officers, firefighters, and paramedics -- and get a close up look at emergency vehicles and learn how our local heroes help our community thrive. Join us for crafts and activities inspired by the brave work of our community helpers.

Stratford Airport (July 25): Participants will explore the airfield, and sit inside one of the Stratford Airport's planes! Participants can also create aviation crafts as we let our creativity soar.

Cooper Bus Terminal (August 1): We're hitting the road this week as we visit Stratford Transit. Participants will be given a tour around Stratford from the comfort of one of the city buses.

Public Works (August 8): We'll get to tour the facilities and see the foundation of Public Works -- then hit the creative crafts.

Gallery Stratford (August 15): It's our last week of Exploring Stratford! Participants will get free access to one of the exhibits, and follow a scavenger hunt into the park, where our staff will be awaiting your arrival with crafts and activities.

No registration required. All ages are welcome.

For all programs, children under age 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
