Are you curious about the night sky? Like the Greeks and Romans, Indigenous peoples also share wonderful stories about constellations based on their observations and experiences.
Together we will engage in interactive storytelling, and hands on learning experiences such as designing constellation maps and using digital tools to explore the night sky.
This program which is centred around Indigenous constellations will inspire curiosity, appreciation for diverse cultures, and a sense of wonder about the cosmos.
This is a drop-in program that takes place in the Library Auditorium. No registration required.
Thanks to science facilitator and Indigenous star lore expert Wilfred Buck for generously sharing his knowledge with us and our community.
For all programs, children under age 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
