
As part of our Community Art initiative we are so delighted to welcome this presentation by artist Laura Wright Vartanian!
Artist Laura Wright Vartanian shares her process of stitching 26 alphabet panels featuring scientific concepts. This project began during the pandemic and grew into a series that was then picked up by Firefly Books and published in 2024. Learn more about how she designed and stitched her work, and her publishing journey, at this artist talk.
Her original art is on exhibit on the main floor of the library from April 12 to May 31: Lauren Wright Vartanian - Stitching Science Textile Art Alphabet Series
Join us in the Library Auditorium. (Auditorium is accessible via the main stairway or via the elevator located at the bottom of the ramp inside the St. Andrew St. entrance.)
Registration begins April 21st and goes until May 22nd. The event is that evening at 7:00 PM.
