Community Art

"Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time."
- Thomas Merton

Do you paint, take photos, make textile arts, sketch, or create in other ways? Have you always wanted to exhibit your art in a public space where people can enjoy it? Now you can, at your library! SPL is looking for artists to share their work at the library - you do not have to be a professional artist to participate. All creativity is welcome! Apply now for exhibition dates in 2020 (application form and details below).

Calling All Artists!
Art can be a response to the world around us. From March 1 - April 11, 2020, the Stratford Public Library Community Art program will be hosting an exhibit of local art created around the themes of the earth, our climate, and sustainability. If you are a Stratford resident and make art that responds to these themes, we welcome you to submit it for consideration for this show. Recommended application deadline is Monday, Feb 1.[Community Art Application]
