Join us as the Blyth Festival showcases a very Stratford story with their big musical Curveball: The Fast-Pitch Ladies From the Factory Floor. Learn all about this show from writer Kelly McIntosh and special guests.
This world premiere tells the story of the women of Stratford's Kroehler Manufacturing Company — once one of the largest furniture manufacturers in the world, employing roughly a quarter of Stratford's workforce. The women of Kroehler built furniture by day and played championship-level softball by night, winning two provincial titles in 1953.
Curveball is written by Kelly McIntosh (who is also Managing Director of the Stratford Perth Museum) and features new original songs by Dayna Manning.
