Lynda.com is a leading online learning company that helps anyone learn business, software, technology, and creative skills to achieve personal and professional goals. With your Stratford Public Library card, you can access the thousands of professionally created video courses lynda.com offers. Lynda.com is a great way to learn new a new skill or upgrade your knowledge about current software, practices and procedures. There is something for everyone, with courses for the very beginner to professionals.

Logging In

  1. To can access Lynda.com just click on the Lynda.com image above. 
  2. Enter your Library Card and PIN (no card? get one here)
  3. When you first log in, the site may ask if you have a previous account with Lynda.com. If you’re new to Lynda.com, or just want to start a brand new profile, select the “No, I’ve never had an account” option. 
  4. If you did have an account, selecting the “I’ve had an account” option and logging in with your previous user name and password will import your old profile, including any playlists or course history, into your new library account profile. 
  5. Add or confirm your First Name, Last Name, and Email address and hit Save to complete your profile. Lynda.com will not use your email address to send you emails without your permission. You can read Lynda.com's privacy policy for more information about how they use this data. 

Lynda.com App

The Lynda.com app is available on both iOS and Android devices. You should be able to find it in the app store just by searching for "Lynda.com." 

When you first open the app, select the "Already a member?" option, even if this is the first time you're using the app. Then switch to the Organization option at the top, scroll to the Web Portal section and enter in "www.stratford.library.on.ca" and tap on "Log in".

This will take you out of the app to the website, which is where you will enter your library card number and PIN. When you select Log In, you should be prompted to reopen the Lynda.com app. Once you do this, you will be authenticated and able to access all of the Lynda.com content on the app.

If you want to change your name or add an email address, you will have to log into the Lynda.com website (see above) and complete your profile.
